Lake front weekly summer rental on North Pond in Upton MA. $750 to $1200/week depending on the week and number of people
North Pond has been in my family for 70+ years, It has been updated a number of times and is now a year round home now which we rent it out in for a few weeks in the summer. A tenant wrote a book about his stay called "North Pond Dawn".

The house is about 40’ back from the lake and the decks are out 10’ above the water. It is on point reaching out into the lake, where you can see almost both ends of the 3 miles long lake. I have enjoyed this peaceful lake ever since I can remember. There is a dock with water depth of about 9’ at the end, great for swimming, fishing and boating and there is a small sandy beach on the property, great for young children learning to swim.

Being at the end of a dead end road, we have a great feeling of privacy with 2.7 acres with 300’ of frontage on North Pond. Yet there are a number of year round homes within walking distance. The lake's surface is about 234 acres which is an average of 9 feet deep but goes to depths of 20 feet. We see an abundance of birds: including many ducks and a Great Blue Heron.

First floor:

Family room with fireplace with access to enclosed porch and a deck overlooking the dock and water. The enclosed porch is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sun rise and the mist play on the lake. There is a large table, great for larger meals and for enjoying the views and activity on the lake.

Living room with library, and access to second deck with a table, and umbrella.

Second floor: large bedroom with two twin beds and a cot.

Bathroom with shower.

There is a small row boat available to explore the lake. There are reports that it is great lake for bass large and small.

What People say about North Pond (Lake Maspencok)
Peppercorn Hill, in the east, commands a fine view of North Pond, from which flows Mill River, separating Upton from Milford. Pratt's Hill and pond, and a smaller pond, beautify the scenery on the north of the central village.
Upton...hardly anybody knows about this small central mass town. It has many historic buildings and sites. One third of the town is conservation land and state forest. There are some hidden historic Indian sites and some beehive cave chambers. On a clear fall day, you can see the tip of the Boston sky line from Peppercorn Hill.

We do not allow smoking. Pets are subject to owners ok.
